Timeline© Therapy is a very powerful and effective process in removing unwanted thoughts, beliefs and behaviours. Timeline therapy provides one of the most powerful processes and techniques for personal change and growth by facilitating the elimination of the painful emotions attached to memories or events in the past. It also focuses on what we can learn from those events and use what we learn as a resource for the future. Time Line Therapy™ techniques and practical processes produce long lasting transformation, together therapist and client identify and deal with the root cause of negative emotional issues from the past and clear limiting beliefs and decisions that may have prevented them from moving forward as well as achieving their goals for the future.
The Hypnotherapy that I use combines the relaxed state of hypnosis with therapy to restore balance and control in your life.. Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique where the client and therapist work together to induce a deep state of relaxation using hypnosis. This allows the client to become increasingly receptive to new positive ideas, behaviours and concepts which are designed to bring about the desired goal or self improvement.
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we all experience every day. We all unknowingly enter a state of hypnosis when engrossed in a good book, watching a gripping movie or when performing a task such as driving, playing a musical instrument or painting. It is often described as a focus on a single thought or action.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is a scientific approach and is the evidenced-based treatment of choice for a number of mental health difficulties. CBT works by helping people understand their own unhelpful circles (between thoughts, feelings and behaviours), and by supporting them to try out new approaches. It is not about ‘rewriting your thoughts’ as people sometimes fear. Rather it focuses on helping you to think in a more balanced and flexible way, improving the way you feel, and changing any unhelpful patterns of behaving. People move from being stuck in a vicious circle to living in a positive cycle of thinking and feeling.
Neuro Linguistic Programming is an approach to personal development and psychotherapy that aims to reprogramme the mind and encourage new ways of thinking. It focuses on influencing brain behaviour (the “neuro” part of the phrase) through the use of language (the “linguistic” part) and other types of communication to enable a person to “recode” the way the brain responds to stimuli (that’s the “programming”) and manifest new and better behaviours. Neuro-Linguistic Programming often incorporates hypnosis and self-hypnosis to help achieve the change (or “programming”) that is wanted.
